File Preparation You can
provide us with high-resolution digital files. We accept
most standard discs in PC and Mac formats: CD, DVD, Zip.
Please prepare your files using QuarkXPress, Photoshop
or Illustrator and save the images in CMYK as TIFF or
EPS file For faster submissions, please always stuff the
files in .sit or .zip format. When preparing your
digital files, please provide resolution of at least
100dpi at 100% size or equivalent (200dpi at 50% or
400dpi at 25%).
We do our best to make your job look
like what you see, knowing that there are wide
differences in monitor calibration and printing devices.
If you require precise color match, please contact us to
arrange for a digital color proof. There are
additional charges for precise color match
service.
- Layout accuracy - provide an
accurate and fully updated colour or black & white
hardcopy of each layout for proofing and placement
checking purposes.
- Colour matching - include Pantone
numbers for all solid colours. We will try our best to
match the colour, but 10% to 20% difference is
possible due to the colour gamut of digital printing
ink.
- Bleed - due to the nature of
large format printing, provide at least a 1/2 inch
bleed all around layouts, as well as accurate crop
marks.
- Margin - For all the texts and
main images must be at least 1/4 to 1 inch away from
the border. This margin setting depends on the size of
the document. For the vinyl banner, the margin is 1.5
inch away from the edge, beware of the text cutting
off by the grommets (eyelets).
- Logos - wherever possible, supply
all logos as VECTOR EPS files as opposed to raster
files such as Photoshop EPS, JPEGs, GIFs or TIFs.
Fonts - always supply all font suitcase, including
both screen and printer fonts. Wherever possible,
convert type to outlines. Include a separate folder
and an editable type layout, should spelling or
content need editing.
Sending the file as a
Photoshop Tiff with LZW compression is the most reliable
way and we can provide a quicker turnaround. For
assistance with uploading your file(s), please feel free
to call or email us. |
